BOO! Davis turns TWO!!!

we started the day at the bagel cafe where davis told everyone there he was 2. we lit the sparkler birthday candle and i was actually a bit scared it might be a bit much after the fact. people were wondering who the crazy couple was that had their baby next to a fire. it finally went out. davis was hovered back in the chair. we also had another halloween dress up party with family and a few friends. we had cake and then went out trick or treating. davis was a golfer. so cute!

Baby Baker Arrives!!!!

Well, he finally arrived! "Baker" Lee Harrelson came into the world on October 15, 2009 at 5:29pm weighing 7 lbs 4 oz and measuring 20 inches long. Davis was 2 oz less and .5 inches more. The second time was much easier labor and delivery wise....so was recovery, thank goodness! He is now 3 weeks and I can't believe how fast time flies with the second. I guess you are so busy with a 2 year old and with the ins and outs of the days that it creeps by without you even realizing it. He has been very laid back and I have been a bit more sane this go round. Although Ben and I are both lacking in sleep and common sense at the moment, everything is wonderful here. Davis could not have welcomed him any better. He has not been bothered by Baker...aka..."cracker" at all. At the beginning we had to make sure he was soft and gentle, but I think he is getting the hang of it. He has only wanted to hold him a handful of times and as soon as he does he wants you to "get it". We have been blessed with two adorable healthy babies.

ok...linds, mom, sarah pierce and will...do you remember this? we were all outside on a pretty summer day and the kids were playing take the wagon up the hill and roll down.....again and again and again until....the wagon rolled down over and on top of everyone!!!! hahaha.

i got a picture of the back wheel going up, but had to run over after the fall. oh well. no one was hurt thank goodness. everyone just laughed.

To and Fro

hello! i am back from a long hiatus away from the blogging world. we are in our new class at school with davis and he loves his new teacher, mrs. ulinda. the only crazy thing is that davis is the ONLY boy in a room of 4 other girls. I was worried about this at first and my mom asked around to some of her teacher and preschool educated friends and they said at this age he would be fine. on another note, mrs. ulinda told me they start potty training in the summer. i wanted to begin a little earlier with davis, but i suppose it might be a good idea with a new baby coming to wait in case he wants to "be like the baby" and i wouldn't want to get him there and then regress backwards. about baby harrelson....i have about 8 1/2 weeks left if i go until my due date. crazy!

we are still working on our new house and it should be close to being "move in ready" next week. we have moved a few things, but are waiting on the bigger things until a little later. we still haven't sold our house and i really am not too stressed about it b/c I know it will happen soon. i just feel it!! i hope!! :)

on another note, my sweet friend jennifer cougle just had her first baby, alex, not too long ago and b.j. says they are doing great. i am so happy for them and saw how beautiful she is from the picture on the blog. congrats cougles! i am going to post more later.....include pictures and things of the latest happenings. until then..........

Go Away Stomach Bug! and Where has the Summer Gone?

Well, Davis has officially had the stomach virus for 5 days now. Yes...full fledged throw up, no eating, messy diaper, frustrated, tired, unhappy,mommy wanting baby. I feel so sorry for him! Hopefully we are on the way back up now. I can't believe neither Ben or myself has gotten it yet. Thanks to Granny and Poppa Ken for helping out with him when we need to work or have needed a little break!

I can't believe the summer is almost to an end. This means the beginning of a new class for Davis, cooler weather (...which we never know when in MS) which complements my favorite season for fashion, clothes and accessories, football games and with the Harrelson family.....a new baby! Oh, and I guess I am forgetting the fact we are also moving to a new house and still trying to sell ours at the same time! We are really excited about all the painting we have done so far and what our plans are for the future in this house. It is going to be soo much fun watching 2 little boys actually be able to run around the backyard and really make memories since we do plan to be here a long time. I guess I will need to teach Davis that we can't play in the street anymore considering that where we live now (...on an unbusy dead end road), it is quite safe and easy to play in the middle of the road. We will be trying to accomplish moving to a big boy bed, potty training and getting used to little brother as well as the new house. Do you think I have too much going on? That is usually how I run best..loads of things happening. I know we will make it through every trial and hiccup in life with faith in God. My sweet husband is so much help to me and I don't tell him that enough. My sweet inlaws, mom, sister and her fam and dad and family are also my saving graces. Ben and I are both really excited about baby boy #2 and can't wait to meet him and introduce Davis to him. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gifts!
